- Mix the base: Beat softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in vanilla extract until fully combined.

- Add caramel: Pour in half the caramel sauce and fold gently with a spatula to create swirls. Don’t overmix — visible caramel ribbons look best.
- Prepare the apples: Slice apples into wedges right before serving and toss with lemon juice to keep them from browning.
- Assemble for serving: Spread dip into shallow bowl, drizzle remaining caramel on top, and sprinkle with toffee bits or nuts. Arrange apples around the dip.
