  • 1lb Ground Beef Ground beef - Can substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 1 medium Onion - Yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic - Garlic cloves minced
  • 2tbsp Relish Dill pickle relish - Don’t skip it adds key flavor
  • 2tbsp Condiment Yellow mustard -
  • 2tbsp Condiment Ketchup -
  • 1tbsp Condiment Sauce - Worcestershire sauce
  • To taste Spice Salt and black pepper -
  • 4oz Cheese Sharp cheddar cheese - shredded
  • 4slices Cheese American cheese slices - Tear to fit the pie
  • 1cup Bisquick Bisquick baking mix -OR use pie crust for a more traditional version
  • ⅔cup Liquid Milk -
  • 2 large Eggs -Eggs
  • 1tsp Seed Sesame seeds - Optional for topping to mimic bun flavor
  • 1cup Vegetables Shredded lettuce -For serving
  • 1 medium Vegetable - Tomato dice For serving
  • 1-2 Pickles Extra pickles - for serving

  • 1 9-inch deep-dish pie dish (For assembling the pie)
  • 1 Large Skillet (For browning the ground beef)
  • 1 Mixing bowl (For mixing Bisquick or crust)

Method
 

  1. Heat skillet, cook beef and onions until browned, then add garlic.
  2. Add ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and pickle relish, then simmer.
  3. Spread beef mixture in pie dish, add cheese slices, and top with shredded cheddar.
  4. Whisk Bisquick, milk, and eggs, then pour over the cheese layer.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
