Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Ground beef - 80/20 preferred for flavor
  • 12 oz Pasta - shells, penne, or bowties Any short pasta works
  • 1 cup Heavy cream - Can substitute half-and-half
  • 3 cloves Garlic - Minced fresh
  • 1 medium Yellow onion -Diced
  • 1 cup Beef broth or stock -Use low-sodium if possible
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste - Adds richness and color
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning - Dried or fresh mix
  • ½ teaspoon Salt - To taste
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper - Freshly ground
  • ¼ teaspoon Red pepper flakes - Optional for heat
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese -Freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil - For browning
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh parsley - Chopped for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet or Dutch oven (At least 12-inch wide for one-pot cooking)
  • 1 Wooden Spoon (For stirring and breaking up beef)

  • 1 Cheese grater (For fresh Parmesan)

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add ground beef and cook 6–7 minutes, breaking up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Push beef aside, add onion and cook until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute. Add broth, scraping up brown bits. Stir in Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes. Simmer 2–3 minutes. simmer
  4. Pour in heavy cream and stir to combine. Let simmer gently.
  5. Add uncooked pasta directly to skillet. Stir and cover. Simmer 10–12 minutes until tender.
  6. Stir in Parmesan. Let sit uncovered for 2–3 minutes to thicken. Adjust salt and pepper.
