Dumpling Salad

Ingredients
  

  • 300 g Vegetable Dumplings or Potstickers fresh or frozen
  • 370 g Coleslaw Mix or similar homemade shredded cabbage mix
  • 1 bunch Cilantro finely chopped
  • 1 bunch Green Onion thinly sliced
For the dressing:
  • ½ cup Rice Wine Vinegar light and mild
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Sesame Oil toasted for aroma
  • 3 tablespoon Soy Sauce low-sodium preferred
  • 3 tablespoon Sweet Chili Sauce mild or hot
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 thumb Ginger Root minced, ~1 inch piece
To serve:
  • Sesame Seeds toasted
  • Chili Oil optional, for extra spice

Method
 

  1. Cook the dumplings according to package directions. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10 minutes until golden and crisp, or steam and pan-fry for browning.
  2. While the dumplings cook, combine rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, garlic, and ginger in a jar or small bowl. Whisk until fully blended.
  3. In a large bowl, combine coleslaw, cilantro, and green onions.
  4. Add the cooked dumplings to the bowl, pour the dressing over top, and toss gently until everything is coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and a drizzle of chili oil if desired.
