  • 1 tablespoon Butter - For greasing skillet
  • 1 teaspoon Neutral oil -Helps prevent burning

  • as desired - Maple syrup

  • as desired Fresh berries - Strawberries blueberries, raspberries

Equipment

  • 1 Large non-stick skillet or griddle (For cooking the toast)
  • 1 Shallow bowl or pie dish (To mix eggs and soak bread)
  • 1 Whisk or fork (To beat eggs and milk together)
  • 1 Flat spatula (For flipping toast)
  • 1 Plate (For finished toast )

Method
 

  1. Heat skillet, add butter and oil, get bread ready, set plate for finished toast
  2. Crack eggs, add milk, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and sugar; whisk until smooth
  3. Dip each bread slice in egg mixture for 20-30 seconds per side, shake off excess
  4. Place slices in hot skillet, cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy
  5. Transfer to plate, add toppings immediately, repeat with remaining slices
