Dough & Finish
  • 1 lb Pizza dough - Room-temp for 20 min for easier rolling
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter - For brushing
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder -Mix with butter
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning - For topping
  • 2 tablespoon Grated Parmesan - For topping
  • 1 Egg - Light egg wash for extra sheen
  • 2 cups Shredded mozzarella -Divided
  • 4 oz Pepperoni slices - Pat dry
  • 1 cup Cooked ground beef or Italian sausage -Well drained
  • ½ cup Shredded cheddar - Optional extra gooey
  • ½ cup Diced bell peppers - Blotted dry
  • ½ cup Thinly sliced onion - Sautéed or raw
  • cup Marinara sauce - Light layer inside or for dipping

Equipment

  • 1 Large Baking Sheet (Line with parchment )
  • 1 Parchment paper or silicone mat (Prevents sticking)
  • 1 Rolling Pin (Roll dough to rectangle)
  • 1 Pastry Brush (For garlic butter)
  • 1 Sharp knife or pizza cutter (For slashes/braiding and slicing)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Cook and drain any meats completely; pat dry pepperoni/veggies to reduce moisture.
  3. On lightly floured surface, roll dough to ~12×15 in (30×38 cm) rectangle. Transfer to parchment.
  4. (Optional) Spread a thin layer of cream cheese/garlic mixture over dough, leaving a 1-inch border
