Ingredients
  

  • 8 ounces linguine noodles dry, for 4 servings
  • 1 pound lean ground beef preferably 90/10
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar for sauce sweetness
  • ½ cup soy sauce or tamari for gluten-free option
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil for flavor
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger for sauce
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch for thickening sauce
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until al dente according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, for 5–7 minutes until no pink remains.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, crushed red pepper flakes, black pepper, and cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked beef. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, stirring frequently, for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat evenly with the sauce.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
  8. Serve immediately for a flavorful, quick dinner.
