  • 10 chicken drumsticks preferably skin-on for best crispiness
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin, for coating
  • 3 teaspoon smoked paprika adds depth and mild smokiness
  • 2 cloves garlic minced, fresh
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste

Method
 

  1. Combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and toss thoroughly until each piece is evenly coated.
  3. If freezing, transfer the coated drumsticks to a resealable freezer bag, remove excess air, and seal. assemble
  4. Thaw frozen drumsticks overnight in the refrigerator before baking.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not touching.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, turning once halfway through and basting lightly with pan juices.
  8. Switch the oven to broil and cook for an additional 5 minutes, watching carefully, until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the drumsticks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
