Ingredients
  

The Cream Layer:
  • 1 lb Mascarpone cheese -Room temperature
  • 4 Egg yolks Use -pasteurized if preferred
  • ½ cup Granulated sugar -
  • 1 cup Heavy cream -Cold
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract -
The Coffee Soak: -
  • 1 ½ cups Strong espresso or coffee -Hot then cooled
  • 2 tablespoon Coffee liqueur -Optional can use rum, Marsala, amaretto, or skip
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar -Dissolved in hot coffee
The Assembly:
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate -Shaved for topping
  • 24–30 Ladyfinger cookies -One-second dip in coffee
  • 1–2 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder -Dusting for top

Equipment

  • 1 9x13 baking dish (Glass or ceramic )
  • 1 Large mixing bowls (At least 2 )
  • 1 Whisk or electric mixer (For whipping cream and egg yolks )
  • 1 Shallow dish (For coffee dipping )
  • 1 Rubber spatula (For folding cream )

Method
 

  1. Brew strong coffee and add sugar.
  2. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Mix egg yolks, sugar, and mascarpone until smooth.
  4. Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
  5. Dip ladyfingers in coffee quickly without soaking.
  6. Layer dipped ladyfingers with mascarpone mixture.
  7. Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 6 hours.
